Food is always short in this area. Children don't attend school for a number of reasons.  Their family may not be able to afford the uniform, or they may be required to support the family by working. A daily hot, nutritious lunch, will bring them in - not only to fill their tummies, but their minds, as well! Over the years we have seen attendance rolls rise and stabilise, and academic standards continue to improve. An average of £17 is all it costs to feed one child every day for a WHOLE school year (205 days)! Currently we are feeding around 1,900 children nine local government primary schools.
