Launching our Christmas appeal
This Christmas severe hunger stalks the region. In this fragile subsistence economy people rely entirely on the crops they grow as well as the local market. With failed rains, food prices continue to rocket.
Why not give an alternative gift this Christmas.
FEEDING THE YOUNG AND OLD
£6.50 feeds a school child for one term
£12.75 is the cost of a 20kg bag of maize and beans
Old and young members of the community are the most vulnerable. Your gift of £12.75 is enough to feed an elderly member of the community for 6 weeks. A gift of £19.50 will feed a child a hot school dinner for an entire year.
